Thermaltake January Online Expo virtual exhibition report
nineteen.01.2021 [11:51],
Andrey Sozinov

As part of the CES 2021 exhibition, which this year, for obvious reasons, was held online, Thermaltake held its own Thermaltake January Online Expo, where it showed its current products, among which there were a lot of various new products. The company talked about all this on streams, and we have already written about some of the new products, but now we would like to put everything together.

Thermaltake introduces a brand new Divider 500 TG ARGB mid tower case for ATX boards to kick off. It stands out for the fact that its side panels are diagonally split, making it easy to change the look using various combinations of triangular panels. For example, you can install two glass panels or glass and solid metal. In addition, a perforated metal panel is also available for better ventilation. Additional panels included. The case also features three custom ARGB fans.

The more compact models Divider 300 TG and Divider 200 TG were also shown. Both have a similar design with a diagonally split side panel. The first is made in the Mid Tower form factor for ATX boards, and also comes with three ARGB fans, but no removable panels. The second has a cube shape and supports Micro-ATX boards, and also carries a 200 mm fan with regular RGB lighting on the front panel.

The new The Tower 100 for gaming systems is designed in a small tower format, with glass panels on three sides offering views of all key components. It is designed to accommodate Mini-ITX boards, but is capable of accepting large graphics cards and other components. Thermaltake also introduced a new version of the semi-open case AH T200 Pink in pink

Power supplies

Among the power supplies, the main novelty is the Toughpower TF1 1550W Titanium. This power supply is rated at 1550W and is 80 PLUS Titanium Highest Energy Efficiency Certified. Of the interesting features, we note the presence of the Turbo Fan button, which starts the fan at full speed, providing the best cooling.

More affordable, but also very powerful Toughpower GF1 Gold power supplies were also shown. It offers 1000 and 1200 W models that are highly energy efficient in accordance with 80 PLUS Gold. In these PSUs, the fan can shut off at low load to reduce noise.

For fans of compact systems, Thermaltake has addressed the Toughpower SFX Gold power supplies, made in the SFX form factor and marked with the 80 PLUS Gold certificate. The manufacturer offers models with a capacity of 450, 550 and 650 W. Here the fan also automatically shuts off at low load.

Finally, the Toughpower GF2 ARGB Gold PSUs were introduced, the key feature of which is the customizable ARGB illumination of the fan and side panel. The user can choose any of 16.8 million shades, as well as various effects such as waves, ripples, etc.d. 650W, 750W and 850W models are available here and are also 80 PLUS Gold certified. Fan shutdown at low load is also supported.

Of course, Thermaltake showed a lot of fans with bright backlighting. Most models have customizable RGB lighting, and there are also ARGB solutions in the manufacturer’s assortment. The latter differ in that they can adjust each LED separately, creating interesting lighting effects. To control the backlight in the fans, as in other Thermaltake products, use the proprietary TT RGB Plus and NeonMaker utilities for Windows, as well as the TT RGB Plus mobile application. You can also control the backlight using proprietary motherboard software, like ASUS Aura and the like.

But the most interesting novelty from a technical point of view is the ToughFan series fans, which are distinguished by their ability to provide high static air pressure. This makes them an excellent choice for cases with difficult ventilation, as well as radiators of liquid cooling systems with dense fins. The most advanced model is the ToughFan 12 Turbo – it is able to provide pressures up to 3.78 mm of, and the maximum air flow at 2500 rpm / world reaches 72.69 CFM.

ToughLiquid’s new maintenance-free liquid cooling systems feature the aforementioned ToughFan fans. LSS data will be released in versions with 240 and 360 mm radiators. The water blocks of the ToughLiquid Ultra models are equipped with a 2.1-display, on which you can display animations or images, as well as useful information about the system. In turn, the ToughLiquid ARGB Sync models have a backlight on the water block.

Air cooling systems equipped with ToughFan fans were also shown. We are talking about models ToughAir 110, ToughAir 310 and ToughAir 510, which differ in design and performance. The manufacturer has not yet specified details. Cooling systems coming out later this year. Thermaltake UX210 tower cooler was shown along with them

Thermaltake continues to expand its range of RAM modules with the introduction of the new ToughRAM XG RGB series, as well as expanding the existing ToughRAM RGB series with new, faster modules. The first ones differ in design: the backlight area is divided in the middle into four parts, and in total the modules have eight independent backlight zones. These modules are available in 16GB kits (two 8GB) and 3600 to 4600 MHz versions. In turn, modules with a frequency of up to 4800 MHz are available in the ToughRAM RGB series.

In addition, a water block for memory modules was shown, equipped with a display that can display information about the current memory temperature or other information, or animation. For those who do not need a water block for memory, a casing with a similar screen was presented, which is installed over memory modules.

Peripherals and accessories

Finally, Thermaltake recalled its range of gaming peripherals and accessories. The company has a huge selection of gaming mice, mechanical and membrane keyboards, headsets, mouse pads, even backlit and metal based, as well as comfortable gaming chairs.

The range of the latter at the exhibition was supplemented by the flagship model Argent E700. This chair is ergonomically shaped and, according to the manufacturer, is designed to combat fatigue. The chair is upholstered in real leather and has an aluminum five-pointed base and a fourth class gas spring (reinforced). All this ensures the highest reliability. Of course, the chair can be adjusted completely for yourself, my height, tilt angle, backrest stiffness, and so on.

In the end, I would like to say that Thermaltake tirelessly continues to expand its product range, offering a variety of solutions so that everyone can find what they need.
