Rumors: Bluepoint will become part of PlayStation Studios and release remakes of several Metal Gear Solid
12.01.2021 [13:30],
Dmitry Rud

A user of the ResetEra forum under the pseudonym KatharsisT, who has been convincing the community in recent months of the existence of a “soft” restart of Silent Hill, shared allegedly inside information about Sony’s plans at Bluepoint Games.

Recall that during its existence, Bluepoint Games managed to establish itself in the rejuvenation of the classic games of the past and earned the nickname “masters of remasters”.

Most often, Sony turned to Bluepoint Games services (their last joint project is a remake of Demon’s Souls), and, according to KatharsisT, very soon this cooperation will develop into something more.

According to an insider, the Japanese platform owner has long-term plans for an American studio: Sony allegedly wants to make Bluepoint Games a part of PlayStation Studios and send several Metal Gear Solid remakes.

As for the timing of the official publication of these announcements, KatharsisT is cautious with forecasts: “I do not know about a specific month, but there is information about the event in the first half of 2021.”.

In addition, KatharsisT once again commented on the fate of the “soft” restart of Silent Hill. According to the informant, the game is still in development and along with the alleged remakes of MGS parts should become a PS5 exclusive.

The last Bluepoint Games release is the previously mentioned remake of Demon’s Souls for PS5. In 2021, the game earned the title of the most highly rated among projects for the next generation of consoles.
