Edge users can now sync history and tabs across devices
Last year, it became known about the plans of Microsoft developers to add support for synchronizing browsing history and open tabs between different devices in the branded Edge browser. Now it has become known that the necessary server changes have been made, and the function of synchronizing history and tabs has begun to unfold for stable versions of Edge.
Edge Canary introduced browsing history and tab sync functionality back in October last year and has been tested by beta users ever since. Now this feature is rolling out to stable versions of Edge and will soon be available to all users of the Microsoft web browser.
According to reports, to use the new feature, you will need to log in to Edge with a Microsoft account on all devices where data synchronization is required. Source says history and tab sync is enabled by default in stable versions of Edge. This means that to start using it, you do not need to perform any additional actions. It will likely take some time before history and tab sync support becomes available to all Microsoft Browser users.
It’s also worth noting that the developers are currently gearing up to launch the new Edge 88. It will receive a function of checking saved passwords for leaks, an improved tool for reading PDF documents, etc. Edge 88 is slated to begin distribution later this month.
